OTTAWA, Ontario — The Penguins will once again be without three regular players Friday night against Ottawa, as wingers Bryan Rust and Patric Hornqvist and defenseman Justin Schultz will miss Game 4 of the Eastern Conference final with upper-body injuries.
Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said all three players are still considered day to day.
All three skated on their own to varying degrees Friday morning. Schultz worked out on his own, while Rust and Hornqvist skated with the Penguins’ goalies and likely scratches.
Hornqvist only worked out in a track jacket, and Rust skated in full gear.
