His hat turned backward, a beard and mustache covering part of his face, Rob Brown looked like he could still play, a point with which one of Brown’s former linemates, Bob Errey, excitedly agreed.
And had Mario Lemieux, Brown’s other former linemate, been at the Penguins alumni charity golf outing Monday at St. Clair Country Club, perhaps the 48-year-old Brown would have played a round alongside his former center.
Probably would have shot in the mid-to-low 60s, too. Seemed that was how things happened with Brown in Pittsburgh.
That Brown was at a Penguins alumni golf outing was notable by itself.
