It appears as if Penguins assistant general manager Patrik Allvin will be the next general manager of the Vancouver Canucks, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
TSN's Darren Dreger reported that "it appears" that Allvin will be the next general manager, though noted that a deal isn't done yet.
Earlier on Tuesday TSN had reported that Allvin was among the finalists for the job, along withLightning director of hockey operations Mathieu Darche, former Canadiens assistant general manager Scott Mellanby and Canadiens director of goaltending Sean Burke.
Allvin would be following his former boss Jim Rutherford to Vancouver after Vancouver was named president of hockey operations and interim general manager of the Canucks last month.
