Back to the Pittsburgh Penguins Newsfeed

Remember that big Penguins win against the Flyers? Time to move on.

It’s hard to imagine the Penguins playing better than they did during a 7-0 rout of the Flyers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals Wednesday at PPG Paints Arena.

Less difficult is sifting through Penguins playoff history to find several instances where the local hockey club clobbered an opponent, only to stub their toe in the game that followed.

Getting back to work after a lopsided win can often be a tricky thing. It’s natural to feel good about what transpired, while the other seem is seething — and in this case, trying to not fall into a 2-0.
