The USHL held its draft on Tuesday, and a pair of forward prospects with ties to the Penguins' staff were drafted by the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
Cameron Recchi, son of Mark Recchi, was drafted No. 202 overall in the 14th round. Ryan Vellucci, son of Wilkes-Barre/Scranton head coach and Penguins assistant general manager Mike Vellucci, was drafted No. 262 overall in the 18th round.
Recchi, who turns 19 this month, was born in Pittsburgh during his father's time with the Flyers. He played AAA hockey with the Penguins Elite program in the 2015-16 season, and spent this season with the Maryland Black Bears in the NAHL.
