PITTSBURGH -- The San Jose Sharks were able to stave off elimination with a 4-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals Thursday night at Consol Energy Center. The Penguins lead this best-of-seven series 3-2 with Game 6 at 8 p.m. ET Sunday at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
How it happened: Backed by an outstanding goaltending performance by Martin Jones, who finished with 44 saves, the Sharks held off the Penguins en route to victory.
