WASHINGTON — So here we are, the trip nobody associated with the Penguins wanted to make for the game nobody wanted to play. Game 7 against the Capitals. At Verizon Center. Puck drops at 7:38 p.m.
If I could sum up the Penguins dressing room following an optional skate this morning, it would go like this: They’re over talking about it.
Oh, and it’s just one game, it doesn’t much matter that they could potentially blow a 3-1 lead, and they need to play a heck of a lot better than they’ve played the past two games if they want to have a snowball’s chance in hell of winning this thing.
