The Penguins managed only 12 shots on goal Monday in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final against the Predators. Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne expects a different story for Game 2.
The Penguins, who have averaged 29.3 shots for per game in the playoffs, struggled against Nashville’s blue line. Better offensive execution is toward the top of the list of adjustments the Penguins plan to make.
“We gotta expect their best tonight,” Rinne said Wednesday. “We know they have a lot of talent, a lot of fight. Have to be ready for that. ... I’m sure they weren’t happy with their shot total last game, so we gotta expect them coming in hard.
