The Penguins today recalled defenseman Derrick Pouliot from his three-game conditioning assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
Pouliot played in three games and finished as a minus-1 with six shots on goal. He did not register a point. Speaking today, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton assistant coach J.D. Forrest offered this assessment of Pouliot's play.
"He was solid all three games," Forrest told Seth Lakso of the Citizens' Voice. "I think he wasn't trying to do too much. He played a smart game.
"He's quick, and he's obviously got some real skill. He played the right way the three games he played with us, so we were happy with that.
