The Penguins made history during their 5-3 victory against Nashville in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final at PPG Paints Arena Monday night.
And they almost did it twice.
When they failed to record a shot on goal during the second period, it marked the first time in franchise playoff history that they were shut out for an entire period.
And they nearly repeated that in the third, failing to record a shot on Predators goalie Pekka Rinne until Jake Guentzel threw a puck past him at 16:43 for what proved to be the game-winner.
