The World Cup of Hockey won’t be the only prominent hockey event to arrive in Pittsburgh this week.
Furthering a successful-and-growing relationship with the United States Hockey League, the Penguins will welcome the USHL’s Fall Classic East to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex on Thursday.
Nearly all of Pittsburgh’s current NHL players have passed through the USHL. There are also a few members of the current team who have played in the league. Recent locals who’ve reached the NHL via the USHL:
