A New York City man has been arrested for selling counterfeit tickets to a Stanley Cup final game at PPG Paints Arena.
Pittsburgh police on Wednesday charged 18-year-old Shawn Stewart with forgery and trademark counterfeiting.
According to a criminal complaint, police were contacted by Gary Hetrick, who bought what turned out to be four fake tickets to Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final between the Penguins and Nashville Predators.
Mr. Hetrick took a photo of the man who sold him the tickets and told police he had a friend who was also in contact with the scalper, the complaint said.
