INDIANAPOLIS -- The momentum continues to build that the Steelers will sign a veteran quarterback in free agency rather than wait until the draft in late April to sign one.
And it makes absolute sense.
Mason Rudolph is a good NFL backup. But he's completely untested when it comes to being a long-term starter. Kevin Colbert said as much when he spoke to the media last week.
Colbert has said he has belief in Rudolph when he's been asked about him. But there are few talent evaluators here at the NFL Scouting Combine that believe the Steelers really feel that way.
