The 2017 National Women's Hockey League All-Star Game will take place in the Pittsburgh area, the league announced today.
The All-Star weekend events — held Feb. 11 and 12 — will be held at the Penguins' UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry.
Amanda Kessel and Kelley Steadman have been designated as team captains for the events, and both have ties to the area. Kessel's brother, Phil, is a winger for the Penguins, and Steadman is the director of hockey operations at Robert Morris.
The All-Star game itself will take place Feb. 12. A schedule for the rest of the weekend's events is still to be announced.
