NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nick Bonino was on crutches Friday, but coach Mike Sullivan isn’t willing to rule out him being on skates Saturday night.
Bonino, injured when he blocked a P.K. Subban shot during the Penguins’ 4-1 victory in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup final, was not among the 18 players who participated in the team’s optional game-day skate at Bridgestone Arena, but coach Mike Sullivan told reporters Bonino will be a “game-time decision.”
If, as expected, Bonino is held out of the game, the Penguins are expected to move Carter Rowney to center and return Carl Hagelin, a healthy scratch for Games 1 and 2, to the lineup.
