The Pittsburgh Penguins, in a somewhat unfamiliar situation for them, are facing the possibility of being eliminated in five games at the hands of the New York Rangers.
The Penguins are not strangers to early playoff exits. But, it’s rare that they face that possibility in the first round, especially the risk of going out in five games. However, that’s exactly where they find themselves tonight. A loss means packing up the locker room next week, final media interviews, and the last time we see this team constructed as is.
