St. Cloud State’s hockey team’s season ended on March 26 with a 4-5 loss to Ferris State University. In the few days since their playoff exit, several Huskies have signed professional contracts.
One of those players is Hobey Baker Award candidate Ethan Prow, whom the Pittsburgh Penguins signed to a two-year, entry-level contract. The senior defenseman was the team’s captain this season, leading his team to the playoffs and a stellar record of 31-9-1. In 34 games for the Huskies, he put up 35 points.
He also boasted a whopping +29. Though the plus/minus statistic isn’t always the most representative of a player’s skill, a balance that high says a lot for Prow’s all-around capabilities.
