PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation announced today the 21 high school graduates who will receive 2015 Penguins Foundation Scholarships.
In partnership with Reed Smith, and with the strong support of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) and Pittsburgh Public Schools, the Penguins Foundation increased educational-based scholarship awards from 18 in 2014 to 21 in 2015.
To be eligible, students must attend a Pittsburgh Public School or an Allegheny County high school that provides substantial aid to students for reduced-cost or free lunch programs per the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), which is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Education - Division of Food and Nutrition.
