PensTV staffers won three awards at the 33rd annual Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards Saturday in Philadelphia.
The Penguins were the only professional sports team to win multiple awards.
The team’s high-acclaimed In The Room series won as the best “Sports Program Series” for the second straight year.
The Penguins also won in the “Interactivity” category for the weekly Pens Trends program, airing on PensTV, and for “Editor – Short Form” with the War Pigs in-game rally. It was republished on PensTV as the Penguins Ultimate Highlight.
“We all think very highly of our PensTV staff, but it’s especially meaningful to have them honored in this way by their professional peers,” said James Santilli, the Penguins’ vice president of marketing.
