Quick cap tonight with the holiday season in full swing. The Penguins’ slow start has them working uphill almost all game, but they turned the tide in the third period enough to force overtime and at least get something to show from the trip to Ottawa. That something wasn’t the full compliment of two points, thanks to Tim Stutzle’s OT winner.
It was a tale of two very different versions of the same game for Pittsburgh. In the first 40 minutes they only mustered 11 shots on goal and were in a 4-2 hole. Power play woes prevented them from taking control of a game against an Ottawa team that entered the night 70.
