Two of the Pittsburgh Penguins’ top prospects, Rutger McGroarty and Ville Koivunen, were recalled over the weekend for an extended trial run before both players begin postseason play in the AHL. While there is some immediate excitement to see young, dynamic players on an otherwise unremarkable team, this end-of-season cameo could go a long way in determining the futures of a few players.
