Pens Points: Alberta Boys

Coming off back-to-back losses over the weekend the Penguins were able to get back in the win column Wednesday night with a 3-2 comeback victory over Conner McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers. Once again, the power-play did the heavy lifting for the Pens, scoring two goals but it was Conor Sheary’s 5-on-5 tally in the dying seconds of the second period that pulled the Pens even and gave them the momentum going into the final period. Evgeni Malkin scored the eventual game winner on the man advantage with under eight minutes remaining and Matt Murray made some ten bell saves in the last minute to preserve the win.
