EDMONTON, Alberta –The Penguins got two points in the standings for beating Edmonton, 2-1, at Rexall Place Friday night.
The cost of the loss they suffered before the game has yet to be determined.
The Penguins announced shortly before warm-ups that veteran winger Pascal Dupuis had been taken to a hospital as a precaution after experiencing symptoms that “may or may not” be related to the blood-clot issues that forced him to sit out most of last season.
Those symptoms were not specified.
“We’ve said all along that Pascal’s health is the highest priority,” general manager Jim Rutherford said, in a statement released by the team.
