Penguins will have to make a killing when they're short-handed against Sharks

It was, pretty much, just another penalty-kill for the Penguins.

Except that it happened in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final.

With just over two minutes to play.

In a one-goal game.

Against what might be the NHL’s most lethal power play.

OK, so there really wasn’t much ordinary about it.

Including the effort the Penguins came up with to preserve their 3-2 victory against the San Jose Sharks Monday night at Consol Energy Center.

The Sharks were credited with just one shot on goal while Penguins defenseman Ben Lovejoy served a hooking minor, even after replacing goalie Martin Jones with an extra attacker to get a six-on-four advantage.
