A collection of NHL trophies — including the Stanley Cup — will be on public display Downtown from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday before the Pittsburgh Penguins’ home opener that evening at PPG Paints Arena.
The display at the City-County Building portico on Grant Street also will feature the Prince of Wales, Conn Smythe and General Manager of the Year trophies, according to a joint announcement this morning from Mayor Bill Peduto and the Penguins.
Fans can line up beginning at 9 a.m. to take their own photos with the trophies, Mr. Peduto’s office said. A photographer will not be provided.
