Penguins No. 1 goaltender Matt Murray returned to practice Saturday at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex after missing the past nine games because of a concussion.
Murray was injured during practice on Feb. 26, when a stray Olli Maatta shot hit him in the head.
He had been taking “full shots” before the team portion of morning skates and practices, but this represents the first time Murray is back with the group since the injury.

Should Murray handle Saturday’s workload fine, and do the same Monday, he could conceivably return Tuesday in Brooklyn.
