Penguins tweak defense pairs, separate Brian Dumoulin and Kris Letang

Swapping right wings wasn't the only tweak the Penguins made at practice.

Coach Mike Sullivan also adjusted his top two defense pairs, using Jamie Oleksiak and Kris Letang together in drills along with Brian Dumoulin and Justin Schultz.

Should those pairs stick for Sunday's game, those involved are hoping for a smooth transition.

"We’re playing the same system," Letang said. "I don’t think there’s any adjustment to be made."

It's another promotion for Oleksiak, who has worked his way up the ladder since coming over via trade from Dallas.

Oleksiak pointed out that Letang and Schultz, his most recent partner, are similar players.
