Accoding to Elliotte Friedman the Pittsburgh Penguins have swung a trade on the day of the deadline to get forward Josh Jooris from the Carolina Hurricanes.
Jooris, 27, has been well-traveled of late- Pittsburgh will be his 5th NHL team since the start of the 2015-16 season (Calgary, NY Rangers, Arizona, Carolina). He is an unrestricted free agent at season’s end and has a modest $775,000 salary cap hit.
This year for Carolina Jooris has 3 goals and 3 assists in 31 games. He was waived and went unclaimed not too long ago, and I know many Hurricanes fans were unhappy with his overall performance and ability.
