The Wild will host the Penguins in their home opener on Oct. 12. The rest of the regular season schedule will be announced on Tuesday, June 25 at 12 p.m.
This is the third time in franchise history that the Penguins will host the Sabres in a home opener. They last played the Sabres in a home opener on Oct. 13, 1987. The Penguins won that game 8-3. Charlie Simmer scored two goals and two assists for the Penguins, and Mario Lemieux had four assists.
