Growing up in Wampum, Pa., Stephen Johns is plenty used to being around Penguins fans.
This summer, though, it has been a bit more frustrating for him.
Johns, a defenseman for the Dallas Stars, has been working out at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry in preparation for the upcoming season and is more than ready to stop hearing about the Penguins’ Stanley Cup championship two months ago.
“It was a rough couple of weeks back here when I first got back because everyone was talking about the Penguins, and that was the last thing I wanted to talk about,” Johns said.
