The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Tom Sestito to a one-year contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The deal is a two-way contact that runs through the end of the 2015-16 season and carries an average annual value of $575,000 at the NHL level.
Sestito had been playing with WBS this season on a professional tryout contract.
The Penguins will be placing Sestito on waivers Monday, and if he clears on Tuesday at noon, he will be assigned back to WBS.
Sestito, 28, has two goals and four assists for six points with 35 penalty minutes in 19 games for WBS in 2015-16.
