The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Kevin Porter to a one-year, two-way contract, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
The deal has an average annual value of $575,000 at the NHL level.
Porter, 29, has spent parts of six seasons in the NHL with the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche and Buffalo Sabres, recording 55 points (29G-26A) in 206 games.
A 6-foot, 190-pound winger, Porter spent the entire 2014-15 season with the Grand Rapids Griffins (American Hockey League), scoring 16 goals and adding 23 assists for 39 points. In 28 career AHL playoff games, Porter has posted one goal and ten assists.
