Penguins send Jean-Sebastien Dea back to AHL

The Penguins re-assigned center Jean-Sebastien Dea to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Friday.

Dea played in four games for the Penguins over the past week as their fourth-line center. He scored his first career NHL goal — a game-winner — Tuesday against the Hurricanes. In four games, Dea averaged 5:17 of ice time per game, with a season-high 7:36 in the Penguins' 6-3 win against Minnesota Thursday night.

In 36 AHL games this season, Dea has nine goals and 14 assists.

The move could be an indication that one of the Penguins' injured players, forward Carter Rowney or defenseman Chad Ruhwedel, is close to returning.
