The Penguins have reassigned winger Jake Guentzel and defenseman Derrick Pouliot to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the team announced today.
Guentzel made headlines with two goals in his NHL debut Nov. 21 against the Rangers, and played five games with four points (three goals, one assist) in his first NHL stint. He has been a healthy scratch for the Penguins’ last three games.
Pouliot, meanwhile, will come off injured reserve for a lower-body injury he sustained in his season debut against San Jose Oct. 20. He played three games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last weekend in a conditioning assignment, but has not played an NHL game since his injury.
