VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Penguins' final selection of the draft was Finnish left wing Valtteri Puukstinen, selected in the seventh round.
Puukstinen, 20, made his professional debut last season with HPK in the top Finnish men's league, playing alongside Penguins prospects Niclas Almari and Emil Larmi. Puukstinen recorded 10 goals and three assists in 47 regular season games, and two goals and three assists in 16 playoff games as HPK won the Liiga championship.
Puukstinen is 5-feet-9 and 180 pounds.
