Penguins rout Flyers, 6-2

The Penguins routed the Flyers 6-2 tonight, to close out the regular season finale at Consol Energy Center.

The Penguins, who improved to 46-25-8, hit the 100-point mark with the win - a plateau shared by only Washington (116 points), Dallas (105) and St. Louis (101).

The Penguins got goals from Sidney Crosby, Beau Bennett, Patric Hornqvist, Carl Hagelin and Eric Fehr (2).

The Penguins dominated early, and took a 2-0 first period lead off Crosby and Bennett goals.

Crosby backhanded a rebound past goalie Steve Mason, off a shot by Phil Kessel and Bennett finished a feed by Conor Sheary at 16:43.
