The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Tom Kuhnhackl and Bryan Rust from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Forwards Scott Wilson and Conor Sheary have been re-assigned to WBS.
Kuhnhackl, 23, will be looking to make his NHL debut on Saturday night against the Canadiens. The fourth-year forward has 15 points (7G-8A) and is plus-10 in 23 AHL games with WBS this year.
A 6-foot-2, 196-pound winger, Kuhnhackl began the year injured, but reeled off a five-game point streak (3G-4A-7PTS) once he returned to the WBS lineup beginning on Oct.
