Penguins re-sign Sidney Crosby for two years, $8.7 million cap hit

Two days before training camp, Sidney Crosby has extended his contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The captain is keeping his same $8.7 million cap hit and will be with the team through 2026-27 as a result of today’s announcement.

The Penguins have re-signed Sidney Crosby to a two-year contract extension, running through the 2026.27 season and carrying an average annual value of $8.7 million.
