The Penguins announced on Monday afternoon that they had signed forward Jean-Sebastien Dea to a one-year, two-way contract that carries an average annual value of $650,000 at the NHL level.
Dea, 23, made his NHL debut last season in the final game of the regular season, against the New York Rangers, then was a member of the "Black Aces" for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
In 73 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2016-17, Dea produced 18 goals and 34 points.
The Penguins have now signed all of their restricted free agents.
The Dea signing, while not necessarily a surprise, brings back into the fold a player who could potentially challenge for a roster spot out of camp, assuming the Penguins do not acquire a third-line center before then.
