The Penguins have re-signed defenseman Tim Erixon to a one-year, two-way contract.
The deal is worth $575,000 if Erixon, who was scheduled to become a restricted free agent Friday, plays in the NHL.
Erixon, 25, was acquired from Toronto in the Phil Kessel trade last July 1.
He was on the major-league roster several times during the 2015-16 season but did not get into any NHL games.
Erixon had three goals and 17 assists in 65 regular-season games with the Penguins' American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre and added two goals and four assists in 10 playoff games.
