The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned goaltender Matt Murray to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Murray, 21, served as the backup to Marc-Andre Fleury in Pittsburgh’s 4-3 victory in Buffalo on Sunday. This season, Murray is 19-9-1 with a 2.11 goals-against average, a .931 save percentage and four shutouts in 30 AHL games with WBS.
