For the second consecutive year, the Penguins opened their season by raising a Stanley Cup championship banner to the rafters.
Prior to dropping a puck in the 2017-18 season opener against St. Louis, the Penguins took one last second to celebrate their championship from last spring.
Following a pre-ceremony laser show on the ice, the video board showed highlights from the Penguins’ Stanley Cup run last spring, culminating with the locker room celebration in Nashville following the Penguins’ series-clinching 2-0 win in Game 6 of the final.
