The preseason game the Penguins were supposed to play at Rostraver Ice Garden has been moved to the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex.
After a review, Kraft Hockeyville USA partners determined that Rostraver Ice Garden, located in Belle Vernon, was not equipped to host an NHL preseason game.
So the Penguins will host the St. Louis Blues at their Cranberry practice facility at 8 p.m. on Sept. 24. This will be the first NHL game of any kind it has hosted.
In lieu of a game at Rostraver, the local rink will be the centerpiece of a four-day event that will include youth hockey clinics, referee clinics, a parade and appearances by the Stanley Cup and members of the Penguins and Blues organizations.
