After an abysmal 13-game stretch of not scoring a Powerplay goal, the Pittsburgh Penguins finally scored two. The two Penguins powerplay goals led to a 4-2 win. Head coach Mike Sullivan and powerplay coach Todd Reirden finally fixed the issues and got the powerplay working, as they were able to score twice.
There were two notable changes the Penguins made on the man advantage: having someone in front of the net to screen Connor Ingram. The second change was smoother and faster tic-tac-toe passing, which led to each powerplay scoring opportunity.
