MONTREAL -- Evgeni Malkin said it best.
"We lead 2-nothing," he said following the Penguins' 3-2 overtime loss to the Canadiens Monday night. "We need to finish the game. It's a hard loss. A couple of bad penalties, overtime, they score 4-on-3. If you lead 2-nothing you need to finish the game and win. Take two points."
The Penguins were outplayed in the first period. They spent much of the period in their own end and allowed more than a couple of odd-man rushes.
The Penguins showed some life in the second period, and went to the locker room at the second intermission with a 2-0 lead off of a pair of goals from Malkin.
