Penguins players see no need for major changes

The Penguins’ rather lackluster 11-7 start, and sub-par production from most of their core players, has prompted some outside the organization to call for major changes, whether in personnel or the coaching staff.

Defenseman Kris Letang — and a lot of his teammates — see it more as a reason to stay the course.

“What’s our record?” he said. “Exactly. I feel comfortable with the team we have. We’re not playing the right way, but we’re still 11-7. Imagine [what it will be] when we’re going to play the right way.”

Letang, who was expected to contend for the Norris Trophy, is the Penguins’ No.
