The Penguins, who brought this city its last major championship four months after the Steelers won Super Bowl XLIII in February of 2009, skated to within one victory of their fourth Stanley Cup championship at the expense of the deflated San Jose Sharks Monday night, and they did it precisely in the manner in which they’ve dominated this NHL postseason — by getting ahead and staying there.
