The Penguins have placed rugged winger Tom Sestito on waivers.
It is not clear if he will be assigned to their farm team in Wilkes-Barre if he goes unclaimed by noon Friday.
A team official said Sestito was waived "to give us roster flexibility, if needed."
Sestito has one point, an assist, and 24 penalty minutes in eight games with the Penguins this season.
