The Penguins made a roster move on Monday, calling up forward Jesse Puljujarvi. To make room, Evgeni Malkin has been moved to injured reserve.

Coach Mike Sullivan updated the star center’s status to “week-to-week” without many details. The Athletic’s Rob Rossi reported earlier in the day that the team was expecting Malkin to be out “a few weeks” and possibly not play again until the 4 Nations Tournament.
