TAMPA, Fla. — The Phil Kessel narrative continued to rewrite itself Wednesday night.
Kessel recorded his 15th and 16th points of the postseason in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final to lead the Penguins to a 4-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He set up the Penguins first goal with 10 seconds to play in the second period, then scored the Penguins’ second goal in the third as the Carl Hagelin-Nick Bonino-Kessel line produced yet again.
“It’s a lot of fun. This is the best time of year, you know. It’s enjoyable,” said Kessel.
